THINKING PRO is an online instructional program for high school students designed to improve students’ reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and news media literacy. Join Dr. Florian Feucht as he explores the unique and effective features of the THINKING PRO curriculum and how it can be used in the ELA classroom. Dr. Florian will highlight how local news is used as a knowledge source throughout the curriculum and share the following:

interactive and self-paced instructional videos that model reading and critical thinking strategies,
close reading and writing assignments that further reinforce these strategies, and
a culminating Capstone Project that allows students to apply strategies as they select a cause and research a news topic of their choice.
