The mission of Thinking Pro is to empower young people with thinking tools to lead successful lives and contribute to the wellbeing of their communities.
- We believe that all learning pathways of students should be personalized and anchored in the local community of students.
- We believe that all curriculum design should be scientifically proven-effective to improve the learning outcomes of all students.
- We believe that teacher professional development should be teacher-centered, provide actionable feedback, and recognize school improvement plans.
Our Inspiration
The idea for THINKING PRO emerged from a collaboration with a local school district: Prof. Dr Florian Feucht wanted to pursue a news media research study to learn about how young people use news media as a knowledge source, while the curriculum director was in search of a reading comprehension intervention to boost the reading comprehension of 9th and 10th grade ELA students. This resulted in a 4-year-long collaboration and intervention research study: Students improved in reading, writing, math, and science on their year-end tests.
